BP approached us to produce a document that brought together illustration and photographs commissioned for their in-house technology programme. One part of this was a large infographic showing how technological innovations fed into the overall BP workflow. We adapted this to follow the house style and also used it to determine the wide format of the document which unfolded to reveal the entire illustration. The brochure is double sided and printed on heavyweight paper stock and utilises a fifth spot colour of yellow which is really impactful against the dark backgrounds. The ‘BP Yellow’ was also used on the belly band, which was devised to keep the whole document flat, easy to handle and distribute. As well as designing the printed brochure we also developed the digital version which included interactive elements and navigation.
